We are looking for a Product Development Manager for an immediate start to reinforce our R&D team. This is a permanent full-time position based in our office in Kontich, Belgium.
As Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving Flen Health end‑to‑end product development execution in line with the company’s strategy. Acting as project leader across all development programs, this role owns development opportunities, risks, timelines, budgets, and costs, and ensures effective cross‑functional coordination from early development through regulatory submission and commercialization readiness.

Your responsibilities:
Product and Portfolio development
Drive product portfolio development aligned with the Company’s strategy and corporate goals, including:
•Lifecycle support of existing products
•Development of new topical pharmaceutical products
•Development of new medical device and dressing products
Regulatory, CMC & Health Authority Interaction
•Support CMC and technical file regulatory strategy across development programs
•Participate, where required, in FDA, EMA, Notified Body and other health authority meetings, as well as partner negotiations
•Support IND enabling, end of Phase, and pre NDA/BLA/MAA strategies for U.S. and European CMC development programs
Program Leadership & Governance
•Establish and maintain governance structures, program management frameworks, and reporting cadence within the Product Development department in line with Corporate governance
•Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate development, regulatory, and operational risks.
•Coordinate cross functional teams including R&D, regulatory, quality, clinical, external partners, and vendors.
Financial Ownership & Reporting
•Own product development budgets, forecasting, and cost control in alignment with the Company’s financing strategy
•Prepare and present clear development updates, timelines, risks, and budget status to the CEO and/or Research Director as required
Fundraising & External Engagement
•Draft and drive credible development plans, budgets, and timelines for grants or non dilutive investment by national or international authorities and partners
•Support due diligence processes with potential investors, partners, and licensors.
Your qualifications & experience:
•Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
•A PhD or postgraduate qualification is considered an asset but not required.
•Minimum 5 years of corporate experience as a team and project leader in a pharmaceutical or related environment
•Proven experience in product development within the pharmaceutical or closely related field, preferably with topical products and/or combination products
•Solid understanding of CMC development, regulatory pathways, and health authority interactions.
•Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, resource constrained, and entrepreneurial environment.
